Hi, I'm Mike and I’m the marketing manager for Scott Equipment Company. We're out on the road today with Thomas Ridgeway one of our outside salesmen. We are going to ask him some questions and learn more about Thomas. Thomas, tell us a little bit about your day, how do your days go, how they start. And what your day’s are like?
Thomas
Sure. So I like to wake up early and by 5:30, hit the gym, get the blood flowing and get the brain working and then start my day off. Usually, it's somewhat already planned out in the morning. And there's a few activities already planned out in the afternoon and a little bit of filler time in between where I can work on whatever I'm working on or get prepared for the afternoon. And to follow up on some of the questions from earlier in the day.

How many emails do you get a day?
Thomas
Oh, gee. Takes all day. I get about 30 to 50 emails depending on the day. But yeah, it's a constant.
Mike
How often do you work with vendors?
Thomas
As much as possible. I try to get anywhere from one to three vendor days a week.
Mike
Baseball, Basketball, Football or Soccer?
Thomas
Baseball. Orioles.
Mike
Who is the most interesting person you have met?
Thomas
My grandmother.
Mike
Who is your favorite Super Hero?
Thomas
That would definitely be the Incredible Hulk.
Mike
Would you rather win the lottery or employee of the month?
Thomas
Oh, man, that is a tough one. I'll have to go with the lottery. And then I think I could probably drive my way to get employee of the month.

Where you go if you could go anywhere to visit?
Thomas
New Zealand

Pineapple on your pizza?
Thomas
Oh, yes, absolutely. With ham.

What color light saber would you use?
Thomas
Blue one.
Mike
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
Thomas
I just enjoy getting out, visiting customers like we did today. Seeing how these products are manufactured and how they're used out in the real world. It's just such a diverse market here in North Carolina, that you really get to see a lot of things that are used around the world.
