SCHUNK grippers, attached with appropriate top fingers allows assembly of O-rings, including square rings and others both on shafts (external assembly) and in bores (internal assembly).

For standard O-ring sizes SCHUNK offers standard assembly fingers for external assembly. Assembly fingers for internal assembly are always O-ring specific. On request, they can be purchased as customized components from SCHUNK or manufactured by customers themselves. Drawings and design instructions can be found in the extensive operating manual that is available online as a PDF document.

The SCHUNK MTB application kits enable quick and easy implementation of automated machine loading. The specific application kits take on the important key role of workpiece handling and workpiece clamping. They seamlessly fit into the machine environment.

This three-finger gripper (OnRobot 3FG15) that we want to illustrate for you today. What I really like about this one is it has a 15-kilogram Max payload 150-millimeter reach. It is also capable of 10 to 240 Newtons of gripping force, which is phenomenal for a gripper in this range of products.

But traditional six axis robots are pictured here on the right. And then our SCARA design is down there at the left. Now what is different about our SCARA, which is collaborative, vs. industrial SCARA designs are the Z stroke, which is traditionally out in the front correct of a normal SCARA robot. it is only 200 millimeters, right? Twenty maximum. Okay, but as you can see, in the column, here, we have, we can have four hundred millimeters 750 or 1160 millimeters, you get a lot more of Z stroke. So, what that creates for us is what we call a cylindrical working envelope, right? Okay. And the six axis has a spherical working envelope.

As robotic automation is becoming more attainable and easier to program, reprogram and repurpose, it is not unheard of to have a larger wish list of what robots can accomplish.  One of the biggest challenges with robotic applications is speed and efficiency.  A popular solution to solve this challenge is either automatic or manual tool changers.   Tool changers are devices designed to allow the to robot to quickly change their end-effectors to accomplish different jobs without human intervention.

A linear guideway allows a type of linear motion that utilizes rolling elements, such as balls or rollers. Compared to a traditional slide, Hiwin guideways provide a much lower coefficient of friction. Hiwin linear guideways can accommodate loads in both the up-down and left-right directions. These features enhance the moving accuracy, especially when accompanied with a precise ball screw.

The SMC MHM magnetic gripper use a short body cylinder with a with a magnetic piston capable of handling most ferrous payloads up to about twenty pounds. It comes in three different payload ranges and with an optional cobot mount.
