Hiwin Custom Cut Linear Rail Shipped in 5 Days

Video Transcript:

Hey everybody. I'm Mike. I'm the marketing manager for Scott Equipment Company and today we have Talon, who works in the warehouse.  Talon is one of our expert Hiwin rail cutters. And we are going to talk about the process today to explain to our customers what it takes to get custom cut Hiwin rail from us. So Talon, can you explain to us how a customer would place an order with Scott Equipment Company to get some custom cut Hiwin Rail?

Yeah, absolutely. The customer will contact customer service and ask for a very specific rail that they need. Once we get that link, get the e-dimensions from them as well. And then from that point on, it is a three step process. Process number one is to put in our pneumatic chops off and get that exact measurement that they requested. Step number two is to grind and bevel the ends to get rid of those razor sharp raw cut ends. And then from there, step three is an extra step that we take, we polish the ends up real nice and that actually kind of smooths everything over and gets rid of those razor sharp edges after we cut with the pneumatic saw.

Alright, so basically in a nutshell, if we can get the length of the rail, the e-dimension which is the mounting hole to the edge of the rail, and if we get that information from you, we also obviously need the size of the rail. Then you take it back here, you take that information, you stick it in the chop saw, and we cut it and then we actually take the time to package the rail, and then we ship it out to you.

That's it in nutshell, right? Pretty simple. So hey, one thing we're excited about at Scott Equipment is that we are now offering five day shipping. So once the order is placed, we'll actually get the rail, cut it and ship it out within five days so you'll get your rail pretty quick.

That’s the goal of our team and they are working hard. If you need to place an order, email sales@scotteq.com or reach out to your local account manager.
