EX600-LBB1 SMC EX600 IO-Link Master Module - Class B, 4 Ports, M12

The SMC EX600-LBB1 is a four-port IO-Link master module (port class B) for the EX600 fieldbus system. It mounts in the general purpose I/O section of an EX600 manifold, including the EX600 Safety Communication Fieldbus System with the EX600-BEN1 fieldbus module. Class B ports add a separately switched external supply (P24) on pins 2 and 5, for IO-Link devices such as valve terminals and actuators that draw more power than a class A port provides.

IO-Link version 1.1, four ports on M12 5-pin sockets (M12 4-pin plugs also fit). Communication speed switches automatically between COM1 (4.8 kbps), COM2 (38.4 kbps) and COM3 (230.4 kbps). Device power supply (L+) 1 A per module, 0.5 A per connector; external power supply (P24) 3 A per module, 1.6 A per connector. Ports also work as PNP digital input or output: input ON voltage 13 V or more, OFF 8 V or less; C/Q output 0.25 A per output; short-circuit protection throughout. Current consumption 50 mA max.

Enclosure IP67 (depends on the manifold it is mounted to), weight 320 g, operating temperature -10 to +50 °C. For plain sensor duty the class A EX600-LAB1 offers more device supply current per module. Seal caps are not included; fit one on every unused connector.
