EX600-BEN1 SMC EX600 Fieldbus Module - EtherNet/IP with CIP Safety

The SMC EX600-BEN1 is the EtherNet/IP fieldbus module for the EX600 Safety Communication Fieldbus System. It carries both standard and CIP Safety traffic to the safety PLC over one network connection, so safety I/O, general purpose I/O and the pneumatic valve manifold share a single node. Pair it with an EX600-FVC safety I/O module (for example the EX600-FVC1) and up to nine EX600 general purpose I/O modules.

EtherNet/IP conformance test revision CT21, ODVA conformant, 10/100 Mbps, with DLR and QuickConnect support (QuickConnect is not available when an EX600-FVC module is connected). Configured from an EDS file downloadable from SMC. Two M12 communication connectors (PORT-1 and PORT-2); one M12 seal cap included. The built-in LCD and buttons show status and error logs and allow IP address and parameter setting, a function unique to the EX600-BEN1 among the EX600 safety fieldbus modules.

Supply 24 VDC +20% / -15% (US1), internal current consumption 150 mA max. Operating temperature -10 to +50 °C. Enclosure IP65/IP67 depending on the manifold it is mounted to. Weight 310 g. CE/UKCA, UL (CSA).
