The SMC ZFC75 In-Line Air Filter provides compact filtration for pneumatic and vacuum systems where airborne contaminants can interfere with valves, vacuum equipment, and other automation components. Part of SMC’s ZFC Series, the filter can be used with both positive pressure and vacuum pressure, making it a versatile solution for compressed-air and vacuum applications.
The ZFC75 is a body size 7 configuration equipped with 8 mm One-touch fittings on the inlet and outlet. Its standard filter element provides 5 µm filtration with 95% filtration efficiency, while the body size 7 design provides a 1,260 mm² filtration area. The One-touch connections simplify tubing installation and removal, making the filter easy to incorporate directly into pneumatic or vacuum lines.
SMC specifies an operating pressure range of -100 kPa to 1.0 MPa at 20°C, allowing the same filter to operate under vacuum or positive pressure. For the 8 mm ZFC7 configuration, SMC lists a positive-pressure flow rate of up to 450 L/min (ANR) under its specified test conditions and a vacuum-pressure flow rate of 70 L/min (ANR). The filter is suitable for air and nitrogen and has an operating and ambient temperature range of 0°C to 60°C, subject to SMC’s temperature-dependent maximum-pressure limits.
The ZFC Series also incorporates a locking mechanism designed to help prevent components from separating if the filter is loosened while being used under positive pressure. The standard ZFC75 uses a transparent polycarbonate case, allowing the condition of the filter element to be visually checked during routine maintenance.
The SMC ZFC75 is well suited for vacuum handling systems, pick-and-place equipment, pneumatic machinery, air-blow applications, packaging equipment, assembly systems, and other industrial automation applications where compact in-line filtration helps protect downstream equipment.
