PVA444 Alkon Corporation Trans-DOT Pressure Protection Valve, 45 psi

Alkon Corporation PVA444 is a PVA44 Series pressure protection valve with 1/4" NPT ports, factory set to open at 45 psi and close at 40 psi. It is a normally closed pressure-control valve: when supply air is above the set pressure the valve opens and feeds air downstream, and when supply falls below it the valve closes, protecting the upstream air supply from losses in downstream circuits.

The valve is typically mounted to the tank by its inlet port. Ports are marked I (in) and O (out) and an arrow on the body shows the direction of flow.
