Scott Equipment Company supports PATLITE visual, audible, network-connected and wireless industrial signaling technologies for manufacturers, OEMs and machine builders throughout North and South Carolina.
PATLITE Signal Towers, Alarms & Network Signaling
PATLITE develops industrial visual and audible signaling technologies that help machines, operators and connected systems communicate status clearly. Its current portfolio includes LED signal towers, beacons, audible alarms, voice annunciators, IO-Link and Ethernet-connected signaling, wireless communication and data-acquisition systems, and rugged industrial LED illumination.
Industrial Visual & Audible Communication Since 1947
PATLITE has developed visual and audible signaling equipment for industrial and process-automation applications since 1947. As industrial communication has expanded beyond conventional lights and buzzers, PATLITE has added programmable, network-connected and wireless devices that help manufacturers communicate machine status, production information and facility events more effectively.
Visual Status Communication
LED signal towers, warning lights and multi-color beacons provide clear machine and process indications using configurable colors, patterns, mounting styles and environmental ratings.
Audible & Voice Alerts
Buzzers, horns and programmable voice annunciators add audible communication where operators may not have a direct line of sight to a machine or process.
Connected Signaling
Network, IO-Link, USB and wireless products move signaling beyond discrete outputs, allowing machines and monitoring systems to exchange information with connected visual and audible devices.
Explore PATLITE Industrial Signaling Technologies
Use these product areas as a starting point for machine-status indication, Andon systems, operator notification, connected-factory monitoring and industrial illumination.
LED Signal Towers
PATLITE signal towers range from compact 25mm and 30mm units to larger modular towers. The LR Series provides configurable 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, 70mm and 100mm options, while programmable LA6 and LB6 products support multi-color patterns and more detailed status communication.
Explore Signal Towers →Warning Lights & Beacons
PATLITE warning lights include rotating and LED beacon technologies for machine, vehicle and facility notification. Compact NE multi-color beacons provide as many as seven colors in one unit, with selected models offering buzzers, touch sensors, USB or IO-Link communication.
Explore Warning Lights →Audible Alarms & Voice Annunciators
Audible products range from compact buzzers and panel speakers to horn-style annunciators producing sound levels up to 110 dB. Selected products support programmable MP3 files and voice messages for application-specific instructions or alarms.
Explore Audible Alarms →Network-Enabled Signaling
PATLITE network products connect signal towers and beacons directly to industrial and IT networks. Current platforms support technologies including EtherNet/IP, HTTP, Modbus/TCP, Ethernet, PoE and USB for machine monitoring, Andon and connected-factory applications.
Explore Network Signaling →IO-Link Signaling
LR6-IL signal towers, NE-IL beacons and LB6-IL multi-segment towers connect to IO-Link masters using M12 connections. The LB6-IL provides 20 segments, 21 colors and programmable lighting and buzzer patterns for communicating more detailed machine and process information.
Explore IO-Link Products →WIO Wireless Signaling
The WIO Series uses wireless transmitter and receiver units to activate PATLITE signaling devices from switches, relays or sensors without running conventional control wiring between locations. Receivers can also support LR6 LED and buzzer modules for synchronized status indication.
Explore WIO Wireless Signaling →Wireless Data Acquisition
PATLITE's WD Series can collect machine-status information from compatible signal towers and transmit it wirelessly to receiving hardware for logging, remote monitoring and Andon visualization without requiring extensive modification of existing equipment.
Explore WD Data Acquisition →Industrial LED Illumination
PATLITE LED work lights provide machine and inspection-area illumination in configurations designed for industrial environments. Available CLA, CWA, CWK and CLK products include options for washdown, oil exposure, machine-tool interiors and demanding plant conditions.
Explore Industrial Illumination →Communicate Machine & Process Status More Clearly
PATLITE products can provide visual, audible and networked communication from individual machines through plant-wide monitoring systems.
Machine Status Indication
Signal towers and beacons provide operators with immediate indications of running, idle, warning, fault and other machine states.
Andon & Production Monitoring
Network-connected and wireless devices can communicate production calls, downtime conditions, maintenance requests and other manufacturing events across a facility.
Material Handling & Traffic Awareness
Visual and audible devices can help communicate equipment movement and operational conditions around forklifts, conveyors, automated equipment and material-handling areas.
Network & Equipment Monitoring
NHV and NHB network-monitoring towers can monitor network devices and communicate faults through LEDs, audible alarms, voice messages and other notification methods.
Washdown & Harsh Environments
Selected IP69K-rated signal towers, beacons and industrial lighting products support applications requiring high-pressure washdown or increased resistance to demanding environmental conditions.
Machine & Inspection Lighting
Industrial LED work lights illuminate machine interiors, inspection areas and production equipment while selected designs resist water, oil, coolants and washdown exposure.
From Individual Indicators to Connected Signaling Systems
Our Sales and Technical Teams can help review visibility, audible requirements, mounting, voltage, environmental conditions and communication interfaces when selecting PATLITE products. Through our WBIYII — We Build It, You Install It program, PATLITE signaling products can also be incorporated into prewired control assemblies, panels, operator stations and installation-ready machine kits.
Signal Product Selection
Compare tower diameter, colors, light patterns, buzzer or voice requirements, mounting method and visibility based on the machine and operator environment.
Network & IO-Link Integration
Review EtherNet/IP, LAN, PoE, USB, IO-Link or discrete-control requirements and coordinate PATLITE products with the machine's PLC, I/O and network architecture.
Wireless Signaling
Evaluate WIO or WD technologies where conventional wiring is difficult, where machine-status information needs to be shared remotely or where existing equipment needs added visibility.
WBIYII Signaling Assemblies
Combine PATLITE towers, beacons, alarms or work lights with brackets, enclosures, controls, wiring and related components in repeatable WBIYII assemblies or installation-ready kits.
Application note: Visual and audible indicators can improve operator awareness, communication and response to machine conditions, but signaling devices should not be assumed to provide a safety-rated control function. Applications involving personnel safety should be evaluated through an appropriate machine risk assessment and implemented with the required safety-rated controls, interlocks and safeguarding devices.
Product Information & Industrial Signaling Resources
Use these resources to explore PATLITE signaling technologies and learn more about integrating visual, audible and wireless communication into automated equipment.
Connect Signaling to the Complete Automation System
PATLITE signaling products commonly connect with PLCs, distributed I/O, sensors, machine-safety controls and other technologies that determine machine status and communicate events throughout the production environment.
