About Lenze

Motion-Centric Automation from Control to Drive Shaft

Lenze Americas is a U.S.-based manufacturer of electrical and mechanical drives, motion control and automation technology and is headquartered in Uxbridge, Massachusetts. The company is the American subsidiary of Lenze SE in Germany and supports machine builders with products, engineering tools and integrated automation systems from controllers and software through drives, motors and gearboxes.

Scalable Drive Technology

Lenze offers cabinet and decentralized variable frequency drives plus servo drives for applications ranging from simple speed control to highly dynamic, coordinated multi-axis motion.

Integrated Machine Automation

Controllers, I/O, web panels and engineering software can be combined with Lenze drives to create consistent machine architectures using EtherCAT, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP and other common industrial networks.

Complete Mechanical Drive Train

AC and servo motors, g500 gearboxes and geared-motor combinations allow electrical controls and mechanical power transmission to be sized as one coordinated drive system.

Product Areas

Use these current product areas as a starting point for machine speed control, decentralized drives, coordinated motion, PLC-based automation, HMI, geared motion and digital engineering.

Variable Frequency Drives

Lenze’s current VFD portfolio includes i510 and i550 cabinet drives plus i510/i550 protec and i550/i650 motec decentralized designs. The i550 cabinet reaches 175 hp, while i550/i650 motec products support wall or motor mounting, NEMA 4X indoor protection and industrial Ethernet connectivity. The i650 motec adds integrated CODESYS-based logic, positioning and extended safety functions.

Servo Drives & Multi-Axis Motion

i750 and i950 cabinet servo drives support precise, dynamic motion-control applications. The i750 is designed around compact single- and double-axis modules with a shared DC bus, while the i950 extends the platform with prepared technology applications, One Cable Technology, integrated safety and power ratings through 110 kW.

Help Select and Apply Lenze Motion Products

Our Sales and Technical Teams can help review motor power, torque, speed, acceleration, axis count, gearbox ratio, feedback, network protocol, safety, enclosure and controller requirements. We can also help coordinate Lenze drives with motors, gearboxes, machine controls and supporting automation components.

VFD & Servo Drive Selection

Compare cabinet, decentralized and servo-drive platforms based on power, motion performance, network, safety, regeneration, motor feedback and installation environment.

Motor & Gearbox Sizing

Review torque, speed, duty cycle, inertia, ratio, radial load, mounting orientation, efficiency and mechanical interface to size a coordinated drive train.

Controller & Network Architecture

Match c-series controllers, I/O and web panels to axis count, machine complexity, EtherCAT, PROFINET or EtherNet/IP integration and HMI requirements.

WBIYII Motion & Control Assemblies

Coordinate Lenze drives, motors, gearboxes, controls, enclosures, wiring and related hardware into repeatable WBIYII assemblies or installation-ready kits.

Selection note: Final motion-system selection should be verified against continuous and peak torque, speed, inertia, duty cycle, braking or regeneration, gearing, thermal conditions, motor feedback, network performance, safety requirements and mechanical mounting. Scott Equipment Company supports Lenze component and system selection while complete machine integration and validation remain part of the machine builder or qualified integrator’s scope.

Related Manufacturer Directories

Lenze drives, controls and geared motors commonly integrate with sensors, machine-safety products, pneumatic systems, robotics and other automation technologies.
