Scott Equipment Company supports Kassow Robots seven-axis collaborative robots, mobile-ready Edge Edition cobots, software and compatible automation components for manufacturers and OEMs throughout North and South Carolina.
Kassow Robots 7-Axis Collaborative Robots
Kassow Robots develops lightweight seven-axis collaborative robots for flexible industrial automation. The current KR Series spans compact 5 kg-payload robots through new high-payload models rated to 40 kg, while the Edge Edition integrates the controller into the robot base for space-constrained and mobile automation. Kassow also supports application development through its KR software, REMII offline programming and KR Pulse peripheral ecosystem.

Seven-Axis Flexibility for Industrial Automation
Kassow Robots was founded in Copenhagen in 2015 by robotics engineer Kristian Kassow. The company introduced its first three seven-axis cobots in 2018 and entered the market in 2019. Bosch Rexroth became majority owner in 2022 while Kristian Kassow remained CEO and co-owner. Today Kassow develops and manufactures seven-axis lightweight robots for industrial applications from its headquarters in the Copenhagen area.
Seven Degrees of Freedom
The additional seventh axis gives the robot more possible elbow positions for a given tool pose, helping it work around obstacles, approach parts from different angles and operate in confined or complex workspaces.
Payload & Reach Choices
The current KR lineup covers payloads from 5 to 40 kg and reaches from 850 to 1800 mm, allowing one robot architecture to address compact handling, machine tending, long-reach tasks and heavier automation.
Programming & Peripheral Integration
A tablet-style graphical interface, REMII offline programming, robot APIs and the KR Pulse ecosystem support development and integration of grippers, vision, software and other application peripherals.
Explore the Kassow Robots Portfolio
Kassow’s seven-axis architecture is available across multiple payload and reach combinations, including newer heavy-handling models and compact Edge Edition variants for mobile automation.
KR810 & KR1205
The KR810 combines a 10 kg payload with 850 mm reach in a 25 kg robot, while the KR1205 provides 1200 mm reach with a 5 kg payload and 26 kg robot weight. Both use a compact 130 × 130 mm standard base and are designed for high-speed, space-conscious automation.
Explore KR Series →KR1018 & KR1410
The KR1018 provides an 18 kg payload at 1000 mm reach for compact heavy-load applications. The KR1410 combines 10 kg payload with 1400 mm reach, providing additional workspace flexibility for machine tending, handling and other industrial tasks.
Compare KR models →KR1805 Long-Reach Cobot
The KR1805 provides 1800 mm reach with a 5 kg payload. Its long working envelope and seven-axis kinematics make it useful where a robot needs to reach around equipment, serve multiple positions or access larger work areas from a compact mounting location.
Explore KR1805 →KR1240 & KR1824 High-Payload Models
The newer KR1240 is rated for 40 kg payload at 1200 mm reach and targets heavy machine tending, metal-part handling and large-component pick-and-place. The KR1824 combines 24 kg payload with 1800 mm reach for palletizing, packaging, logistics and other extended-reach applications.
Explore the new KR models →Edge Edition for Mobile Automation
Edge Edition integrates the controller into the cobot base, eliminating the separate external controller. Kassow positions the platform for AGV and AMR applications, with direct 42–58 VDC power, remote power control, automatic operation without the teach pendant after programming and a common 160 × 200 mm base footprint.
Explore Edge Edition →KR Software, REMII & KR Pulse
Kassow’s software uses graphical drag-and-drop programming and a split-screen interface. REMII emulates the robot system on a PC or Mac for offline program development and debugging, while KR Pulse uses CBun capability bundles and the CBunX framework to integrate compatible grippers, vision systems, software and other peripherals.

Our Sales and Technical Teams can help review robot payload, tooling mass, reach, mounting, cycle time, workspace, gripper or vacuum requirements, vision, controls and mobile-platform needs. Scott Equipment Company supports the robot platform and surrounding automation components and can work with qualified integrators when a complete robotic system requires integration services.
Robot Sizing & Reach Review
Compare payload, reach, mounting orientation, tooling weight, wrist loading, cycle requirements and workspace constraints across the KR Series.
EOAT, Vision & Peripheral Selection
Coordinate grippers, vacuum tooling, tool changers, vision, sensors and other compatible application hardware around the robot and workpiece.
Mobile & Space-Constrained Automation
Evaluate Edge Edition when an application needs controller-in-base packaging, DC power or integration with an AGV, AMR or compact mobile platform.
WBIYII Supporting Assemblies
Coordinate robot-side plates, EOAT hardware, pneumatic or vacuum components, sensors, cabling and other repeatable supporting components as WBIYII assemblies or installation-ready kits.
Safety & integration note: A collaborative robot does not automatically make every application collaborative. The complete robot application must be evaluated for hazards and appropriate safeguarding through a machine risk assessment before operation. Scott Equipment Company supports product and application selection but is not positioning itself as a turnkey robot integrator; complete cells can be coordinated with qualified integration partners where required.
