About Fibox

A Pioneer in Thermoplastic Electrical Enclosures

Fibox traces its enclosure technology to 1966, when the business pioneered injection-molded polycarbonate enclosures for electrical applications. Fibox Inc. was established in the United States in 1997, and the current U.S. operation in Glen Burnie, Maryland supports product stocking, engineering and enclosure customization for North American customers.

Non-Metallic Protection for Harsh Environments

Polycarbonate construction provides a lightweight, electrically insulating and corrosion-resistant enclosure option for industrial controls, instrumentation and electronics exposed to moisture, dust, UV or corrosive environments.

Broad NEMA-Rated Product Range

Fibox offers more than 1,000 standard enclosure configurations across cabinet, screw-cover, hinged, terminal and specialty formats, with many families carrying NEMA 4X and selected NEMA 6/6P ratings.

Factory Modification & Mechanical Assembly

Fibox’s U.S. customization center can machine cutouts, print or engrave markings, paint enclosures and install accessories, DIN rail and back panels to reduce downstream enclosure-preparation labor.

Help Select and Configure Fibox Enclosures

Our Sales and Technical Teams can help review enclosure dimensions, NEMA/IP requirements, mounting, cable-entry needs, HMI or operator-device layout, corrosion exposure, outdoor use and accessory requirements. We can also coordinate Fibox enclosures with DIN rail, controls, power supplies, connectivity and other panel components.

Enclosure Size & Rating Selection

Match internal component space, wiring bend radius, environmental exposure and required NEMA/IP performance to the appropriate Fibox family and enclosure size.

Material & Environment Review

Evaluate corrosion, UV, impact, washdown, electrical insulation, wireless-signal needs and temperature requirements when comparing polycarbonate with metal or fiberglass alternatives.

Customization & Accessory Planning

Coordinate cutouts, HMI openings, cable-entry locations, printing, engraving, DIN rail, mounting plates, windows and other accessories before installation.

WBIYII Panel & Enclosure Assemblies

Combine Fibox enclosures with controls, power supplies, connectivity, terminal blocks, DIN rail and related hardware into repeatable WBIYII assemblies or installation-ready kits.

Selection note: Final enclosure selection should be verified against the exact UL/NEMA/IP rating of the specific part number, operating temperature, chemical exposure, UV conditions, impact requirements and installation method. Machining, cable entries and field modifications can affect enclosure protection ratings unless appropriate rated components and sealing methods are used.

Related Manufacturer Directories

Fibox enclosures commonly house and protect PLCs, HMIs, networking hardware, safety controls, sensors and other machine-automation components.
