KEM-4V300-KE9NCB Kollmorgen Essentials 240/480VAC 3000V Servo Motor

The Kollmorgen KEM-4V300-KE9NCB Servo Motor is a 3.0 kW, 240/480 VAC servo motor in the Kollmorgen Essentials™ family, delivering high torque, excellent accuracy, and rugged performance for demanding industrial automation. As part of the 138 mm IEC-frame motor class, it is engineered to support powerful motion requirements while maintaining smooth, reliable operation in continuous-duty environments.

 

This motor provides 11.5 Nm continuous stall torque and 26.8 Nm peak torque at 480 VAC. It supports a maximum mechanical speed of 4000 rpm and delivers stable performance across a wide range of loads. This makes it ideal for applications such as large packaging axes, robotics, gantries, machine tools, presses, and heavy-duty material handling.

 

Equipped with Kollmorgen’s advanced SFD-M Smart Feedback Device, the motor provides 24-bit single-turn and 16-bit battery-free multi-turn absolute position feedback. This enables < ±1 arc-minute positioning accuracy and automatic electronic nameplate recognition when paired with Kollmorgen Essentials or AKD-series drives—simplifying commissioning and reducing setup time.

 

A single 90° M23 hybrid connector integrates power and feedback signals in an IP54-rated housing, reducing wiring complexity and installation effort. The Essentials standard mounting interface and shaft key kit allow both smooth and keyed shaft configurations from one motor model.

 

Industrial performance is ensured with Class F (155°C) insulation, a PTC thermal sensor, complete thermal protection, and a robust frame designed for high inertia loads. Standard IP54 protection can be upgraded to IP65 using an optional shaft-seal kit for harsher environments.

 

When combined with Kollmorgen Essentials drives, the KEM-4V300-KE9NCB supports EtherCAT®, PROFINET®, and EtherNet/IP™ communication, plus single-cable connectivity—enabling fully integrated, high-performance motion systems.
