The KEM-2V250-KE9NCB features Kollmorgen’s advanced SFD-M Smart Feedback Device, a 24-bit single-turn and 16-bit battery-free multi-turn absolute encoder that ensures < ±1 arc-min accuracy and plug-and-play setup. The feedback system includes onboard motor data, enabling automatic recognition and tuning when paired with Kollmorgen Essentials or AKD-series drives.
Designed for fast installation, the motor integrates a rotatable M23 hybrid connector that combines power, feedback, and brake connections into one IP54-rated interface. Its IEC-standard mount and shaft key kit provide flexibility for keyed or smooth shaft configurations in a single model, reducing inventory complexity.
Engineered for reliability, the motor uses Class F insulation (155 °C), a PTC thermal sensor, and is rated for a 100 °C winding temperature rise at 40 °C ambient. For higher environmental protection, the optional KEM-150-400-SSK shaft-seal kit upgrades the motor to IP65.
When paired with Kollmorgen Essentials drives, the KEM-2V250-KE9NCB supports EtherCAT®, PROFINET®, and EtherNet/IP™ control protocols and single-cable connectivity for simplified wiring and commissioning.
