The SMC ASN2-N04-S Metering Valve with Silencer combines adjustable pneumatic exhaust flow control and noise reduction in one compact component. Designed for direct installation on the exhaust port of a compatible solenoid valve, the ASN2-N04-S allows exhaust airflow to be adjusted to help control the operating speed of pneumatic cylinders and actuators while reducing the noise generated by exhausting compressed air.
This ASN2 Series configuration features a 1/2-inch NPT connection and is supplied with thread sealant to simplify installation. An integrated metering needle provides adjustable exhaust flow, while the built-in silencer reduces exhaust noise by more than 20 dB at maximum flow. A needle retainer also helps prevent accidental removal or loss of the adjustment needle during operation or maintenance.
With an operating pressure range of 0 to 1 MPa, the SMC ASN2-N04-S is well suited for industrial automation, manufacturing equipment, packaging machinery, material handling systems, and other pneumatic applications where controlled actuator motion and reduced exhaust noise are important.
