The SMC ANA1-04 High Noise Reduction Silencer is designed to reduce the sound generated when compressed air is exhausted from pneumatic valves and equipment. Part of SMC’s ANA1 Series, this high-performance pneumatic silencer provides a 40 dB(A) noise reduction effect, helping keep plant noise levels below 85 dB(A) when properly applied.
The ANA1-04 features a 1/2-inch R (BSPT) male threaded connection for screw-in installation on compatible pneumatic exhaust ports. SMC specifies an effective area of 60 mm², sonic conductance of 12 dm³/(s·bar), and a recommended airflow of 4.5 m³/min (ANR) or less when measured at 0.5 MPa inlet pressure. These flow characteristics allow the silencer to reduce exhaust noise while maintaining the airflow required by many industrial pneumatic systems.
Designed specifically for compressed air, the ANA1 Series has a maximum operating pressure of 1.0 MPa and a standard ambient and fluid temperature range of 5°C to 60°C. SMC notes that operation from -10°C to 60°C is possible when there is no risk of water droplets forming and freezing within the system.
The ANA1-04 is well suited for solenoid valve exhaust ports, pneumatic manifolds, automated machinery, packaging equipment, assembly systems, material handling equipment, and other compressed-air applications where reducing exhaust noise can help improve the working environment.
