Email Scott Equipment Company for more informationSince SMC’s ISE20 digital pressure sensor is replacing the ISE30 and ISE40 sensor series, it is a good reminder of the main reason to install a pressure sensor is to know that your plant and machines are working correctly and efficiently.  Sensors allow you to monitor the consumption, allow for diagnostic and remote access making maintenance much easier.  Sensors can connect to a PLC or other central controller via fieldbus or IO-Link to enhance troubleshooting by decreasing diagnostic time.  Digital pressure sensors can also become the data source for providing better predictive analytics integral to the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) or industry 4.0, all while potentially increasing working safety.

SMC has a wide range of digital pressure sensors.   These sensors can monitor On/Off status, confirm operation within an optimal range, or measure real time operations like pressures and flows.  SMC’s pressure sensors (ISE/ZSE) will provide a setpoint-trip signal if a minimum or maximum pressure threshold is broken.  The ITV Series electro-pneumatic (E/P) regulator will control air/vacuum pressure steplessly in proportion to an electric signal.  PF series flow sensors will monitor the rate of air, cooling, or cleaning water.

SMC ISE20 Digital Pressure Sensor from Scott Equipment CompanyThe ISE20 digital pressure sensor has an informative, easy to read 3 screen, 3 color display.  The main screen shows the instantaneous reading in red or green, while two sub-screens can display the setting label and its numeric value in orange.   The SMC ISE20 saves energy with only 2mA current consumption.  In addition, the switch output responds within 1.5ms once the set pressure value is reached.  The ISE20 is UL/CSA and RoHS compliant, with an IP40 enclosure rating (optional IP65 enclosure rating available).

The SMC ISE20 sensor series is replacing the ISE30 and ISE40 digital pressure sensors.  The ISE20 is available in either NPN or PNP outputs; has 5 pressure units: MPa, kPa, kgf/cm2, bar and psi: and can be ordered with the following port sizes:  M5 (female), 1/8 Rc or NPT (male), One-touch fitting (straight or elbow).
