Welcome to the Scott Equipment Company Automation Simplified Video Series. Today we're going to be discussing the Murrplastik LM laser marker.
Speaker: Trevor
Hello, I'm Trevor Gann, I'm one of the design and application engineers here at Scott Equipment Company. Joining me today is Jorge from Murrplastik.
Speaker: Jorge
Hey, Trevor, thanks for having me. I really appreciate you taking the time.
Speaker: Trevor
Yeah. Thanks for joining us. Can you go ahead and tell us a little bit about the LM laser marker series that Murrplastik offers?
Speaker: Jorge
Certainly, our laser marking system is the most sophisticated printing and marking system on the market. We do offer the system in three different versions, the LM-1, the LM-3 and the LM-10.
Speaker: Trevor
What are the differences between the three versions.
Speaker: Jorge
The difference is the laser strength of the machine, the physical size of the printers is exactly the same. The laser strength is different and relates to speed.
Speaker: Trevor
So you can print the same frames on the LM-1 and the LM 10, the difference is the speed of the printers. Can you go ahead and show us or tell us a little bit about the frames that we have here on the table and what we can print on them.
Speaker: Jorge
So to start off with the possible material, you can print on our terminal blocks, or our polycarbonate device takes wire labels. These are standard material out of polycarbonate, you can always print on ALEMI code type, laser Mart, stainless steel, as well as aluminum tags.
Speaker: Trevor
And you can also print custom QR and barcode on these materials, correct.
Speaker: Jorge
That is correct. Our Murrplastik universal software allows you to print and create custom tags for any kind of material we offer.
Speaker: Trevor
We'll dive into the software a little bit later on in the video. It's really user friendly. So Jorge, run us through some potential applications for these frames that we have here, you know, does it go on a terminal block, wires?
Speaker: Jorge
So basically, our more plastic is overing marking solutions for any kind of need in automation equipment. We do offer terminal blocks for any kind of manufacturer, we do offer wire labels, cable labels, push button labels, as well as aluminum wire labels for the automotive industry. There is a wide range of possibilities.
Speaker: Trevor
Awesome. So now let's go ahead and dive into the software. Alright, so now we're going to run through the Murrplastik universal laser marker software offered by Murrplastik. Jorge, can you tell us a little bit about this software and show us how easy it is to use.
Speaker: Jorge
Certainly, as we mentioned before, the MP University software is so free available on the Murplastik website, you can download it to any kind of computer. You can download although our drivers for the different devices. This software here is very easy to use. We have here or the task bars. Similarly similar to Microsoft where you can change text sizes, left indent, right indent, different font sizes. On the right side we have our materials search. The material search includes all the templates we have available. By our standard takes. You choose the right label and drag it over into the working surface. And you're basically ready to go and put your text in. And the left side you can see here where you can put in here your text from one to 10 for example. You can also create files. You save your file like you see here at Murrplastik in order to identify or narrow down the usage for that print. You also can include down here in group text and give it a further name like “Panel One”. And it will print under the file name, your basically your next description. Another good feature on that software is if you have used only a certain kind of a certain amount of labels, you can start off where you left before your new print. So there is no waste on these labels necessary and you can choose the software where you want to print.
Speaker: Trevor
So why don't we go ahead and print this one Jorge. I'll go ahead and put this frame in there. If you want to hit print,
Speaker: Jorge
okay, so you hit you hit your print, and it gives you that screen. You hit OK. It shows you what labor, what position number and you good to go.
Speaker: Trevor
Yeah Then it's as simple as hitting OK on the marker itself.
Thanks for watching our Automation Simplified video series. Thanks for joining me you're if you'd like more information on Merck plastic, please see the link in the description below.
